“In 2004 I bought a book entitled ‘Stencil Graffiti’ which opened a door to a new medium of work for me.”
During the decade when it was fashionable for women to have bigger shoulders than American footballers and welders could also be sexy dancers, Klingatron was born in Glasgow, Scotland.
By watching Tony Hart on the television Klingatron grew up with a pencil in one hand and a sketchbook in the other and through studying Illustration and Printmaking discovered a medium that he now concentrates on to produce his art with a style that can be described as detailed, although he describes his skills with stencils as “still being in my infancy” period. With each stencil Klingatron has a hunger to better himself every time and develop his work through a growing appreciation towards the world around him, looking at different subject matter and pushing his skills further.
So far he has managed to display work in Glasgow and Edinburgh but having only been creating stencil art for such a short period of time, it is just a matter of time to see how far he can take it. |
